Summer is finally here which means beach trips, pier nights, picnics, outdoor dinners and my favorite, day drinking! Having a whole different wardrobe with a different color palette in the summer, means I need to make make-up adjustments. No more dark browns and burgundies with purple undertones. So what colors will get you through the whole summer seamlessly?

This summer calls for nudes and warm browns with undertones of apricot as well as pinks with berry undertones. I put together a video where I tried on each color for you to all see. Please bare with me on it being the first video I made like this. I am also leaving my photos untouched so you can really get an idea of the colors.

Let me tell you why I love all eight of these lip shades!

1. Maliboo

This fun matte nude comes from the Kylie Jenner collection. After I wear it for a while it starts to have a grey look to it, but when first applied it really goes with whatever makeup I do on the rest of my face. I would recommend when wearing light tan or grey, it really pulls a look together.

2. Commando

The Commando velvet by Kylie Jenner is still a favorite of mine. It has so much apricot undertone it almost looks orange at times. This is great for a date to get some ice cream or a trip to the beach. It’s a great color to pair with bikinis or anything nude or white.

3. Savage

This color is what the name says it is, savage. This Kylie Jenner velvet is one that I can wear anytime with anything. It is the one shade I always keep in my makeup bag in case of an emergency. It is a little bit deeper then Commando and has more of a pink undertone.

4. Ginger

Ginger by Kylie Cosmetics is sooooooooooo amazing. This is what I’m trading in a deep brown for. It almost has a cayenne pepper color to it. I love wearing all white and putting on this shade or wearing it with greens really makes it pop!

5. Crush

I think I have a crush on Crush by Anastasia Beverly Hills. The perfect soft pink for every occasion. It is definitely the lipstick that the girl next door has in her bag. XOXO

 

6. Posie K

Next step up from Crush is Posie K by Kylie Jenner. Posie K has a light berry undertone to it and is my favorite Kylie lip shade. It truly just looks so great on so many skin tones and it is absolutely going in the hall of fame for summer lip shades.

7. Trophy Wife

Trophy Wife by Huda Beauty is going to make me a trophy wife. This is the darker version of Posie K. It pops so much off your face that you just cant help but feel sexy when your wearing it.

 

8. Pink Velvet

YESSSSSSSS!!! Trade in a bright red for a bright pink this summer. This color is so vibrant every guy from across the room is going to be staring at your mouth. Thanks to Lime Crime for this amazing matte liquid lipstick.
